Finishes
Once cut to size, the pieces begin to take shape and character through the finishing processes. Marble slabs can undergo numerous surface treatments, designed to maximize the quality, aesthetics, and naturalness of the stone. Each finish gives a different look and feel, adapting to specific stylistic and functional requirements.
Le nostre pietre naturali sono uniche per natura, perciò ogni lastra può presentare variazioni di colore e venature
Grinding
A process that makes the surface smooth and matte, without adding shine.
Polishing
The next step after grinding, performed with special polishing machines. It adds shine and reflection to the surface, enhancing the veins and colors of the marble.
Brushing
Abrasive brushes make a greater impact on the most delicate areas of the material, returning a slightly uneven surface.
Flaming
A technique that uses a high-temperature flame to create a rough, non-slip surface. Ideal for outdoor applications thanks to its resistance, natural and textured effect.
Cannettatura
A decorative technique that creates regular grooves on the surface for a three-dimensional, modern effect.
Bush hammering
The surface is rough and dotted, with small raised areas and cavities. Ideal for decorative effects or non-slip surfaces.
Sandblasting
This involves the use of a high-pressure jet of water and sand, which smoothes the surface, giving it a matt appearance and a slightly rough feel.
Satin finish
This finish gives the marble a matte yet silky, elegant, and refined appearance, perfect for contemporary settings.
In addition to these, there are special processes that can be carried out either with high-precision machinery or entirely by hand, for exclusive, tailor-made results. Each surface can be shaped to meet specific aesthetic and functional requirements, making each piece unique.
