Our History
Marble processing begins at the factory in Via Lazzaretto – Meda (MB) under the name “individual company Tagliabue Federico”, the name of the founder.
The company is established thanks to the initiative and ingenuity of Federico’s sons, namely Vittorio, Lino, Alberto, Luigi, and their passion for the quality and beauty of natural materials. They take control of the company, which is named Vallmar(Vall corresponds to the initials of Federico’s sons’ names, Mar corrisponds to the abbreviation of marble). They began to devote themselves to the careful selection of blocks directly from the quarries of Verona and Carrara, places that symbolize Italian stone excellence, following every stage of the process, from excavation to final selection, with the attentive eye of those who know the value of every single detail.
This approach, based on care, experience, and expertise, was recognized by customers from the very beginning.
The founders’ experience has been passed down to their sons, Alessandro, Tiziano and Daniel, now the third generation, who, together with their fathers, have been able to invest with vision and determination, leading the company on a path of constant growth, facing new challenges and goals every day and seizing every opportunity to improve.
In 2000, most of the manufacturing operations were transferred to the industrial area in Via del Lavoro, expanding production capacity and making processes even more efficient.
In recent years, we have gained considerable experience in the implementation of various types of high-quality projects, from custom-made projects to large-scale projects such as villas, luxury hotels, and boutiques, including abroad, thanks to our collaboration with leading architectural firms.
Morfosi is a brand of objects and furnishings that allows designers and artists to express their creativity to the fullest in the field of natural stone.
We have further expanded our presence with a new headquarters in Meda in Via Trieste, that is dedicated to aesthetic research and design.
In over 50 years of activity, the company has grown to include a large slab warehouse, three production sites with a significant increase in work centers and specialized machinery.
